JEFF BRADETICH (Master Class & Private Instruction)

Professor of Double Bass at the University of North Texas

Proclaimed by the New York Times as “the master of his instrument,” Jeff Bradetich is regarded as one of the leading performers and teachers of the double bass in the US today. Jeff Bradetich has taught on the faculties of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University prior to his 1994 appointment as director of the largest double bass program in the world at the University of North Texas. Mr. Bradetich has recently established the Bradetich Foundation for the advancement of the double bass.


YUAN XIONG LU (Master Class)

Professor of Double Bass at Texas Christian University

Yuan Xiong Lu currently serves as Double Bass Professor at TCU and artistic director of the TCU International Double Bass Festival. Lu has won numerous national and international competitions, including first prize in the American String Teachers Association (ASTA) National Solo Competition and the 16th annual Corpus Christi International Young Artists Competition. He also serves as the director of Chamber Music Studies at the TCU School of Music.



Mariechen MeyerMARIECHEN MEYER (Private Instruction)

Mariechen Meyer was born in Bloemfontein, South Africa in 1989. After winning the coveted Avigail Bushakovich bursary, she started her studies at the University of Stellenbosch in 2008 with Roxane Steffens, completing her Bachelorr’s Degree Cum Laude in 2011.  Click on her image to see more…
